Amanda Peet is overjoyed with the arrival of her first child Frances. The actress confesses how deep is her love for her daughter, who was born on February 20. "I'm so happy, I can't bear it. I'm so in love with her," she tells People magazine. Peet also recalls the early days with her baby were arduous but then everything changed. "In the beginning it's hard ...because they aren't giving you anything back and you think you're supposed to be really happy, but, in fact, you're actually psychotic because of sleep deprivation," said Amanda. "But now it's beautiful. It's like I'm in love with someone else," she added at the  Glamour magazine's Fashion Gives Back Party in New York City. Regarding her daily chores with her baby, she says “We wake up and play, she naps and I do my own thing like check e-mail, we have lunch, then she naps again.”

Amanda Peet and her husband David Benioff anxiously waited for her baby Frances Pen to show her first smile, she said in The Late Show. Amanda, who read that babies flash their first grin at six weeks old, tried to encourage her daughter to smile when the 6 week arrived an there were any news of smiling. She said in the show, “I remember at six weeks they're supposed to start smiling and I was waiting and waiting for her to smile because I was so excited for this and she didn't smile and she wasn't smiling at all so I started to become a little bit like a crazy person, a little bit like a stage mom. Every morning I'd go, 'Hi! Hi! Hi, goose!' And then I was talking to this friend of mine who's a child development specialist and she said, 'Oh, no, no. Don't smile like that. Never show your teeth. It scares the baby. It's too much.' Especially my teeth. I've been told I have rather large teeth. So the next afternoon I come home and I proceed to start communicating with her [like this] (nods with a close-lipped smile). But she did start smiling".

American actress Amanda Peet might be deprive from  sleeping at nights for taking care of her new two month old baby girl, though she still finds the experience of being a mum cheering. The gorgeous mother went to the Oscar de la Renta boutique opening in West Hollywood for aiding Women's Cancer Research Fund where she confessed  that she feels blissful  seeing her infant daughter smile. "In the beginning, it's very, very hard because you're so sleep-deprived. But she just started smiling three days ago, so I'm on cloud nine right now," People quoted Peet, as saying. Peet gave birth to Frances on February 20, 2007. The couple is so glad with their first child that they are already thinking of adding more to the family. "I think we want more [kids]," she said. "He wants three, but I'm old, I'm an old lady. Two is enough!" she said.
